World’s Worst Mayor RUINS Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, First Time Since 1924 Without Crowds

The Worst Mayor in the World officially ruined the Thanksgiving Day Parade this week with Bill de Blasio confirming the event will be broadcast on television and the internet, but will be closed to marchers and the general public.

“It will not be the same parade we’re used to. It will be a different kind of event. We’re re-inventing the event for this moment in history,” said de Blasio during a press conference in New York City.

Meanwhile, the mayor faced a growing backlash after saying the violent situation reminded him of John Lennon’s utopian anthem ‘Imagine.’

“I don’t mean to make light of this. But I’m reminded of the song ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon. We played it at my inauguration! What about a world where people got along differently? What about a world where we didn’t live with a lot of the restrictions that we live with now,” said De Blasio. “We’re not there yet. The protest movement themselves is how we make progress!”
