WATCH: Virginia Police Chief ‘Rioters Blocked Firefighters from Responding to Fire With Child Inside’

The Richmond, VA police chief broke down on Tuesday as he explained that thugs set fire to a multi-family building, and then blocked first responders and fire fighters trying to get to it.

One of the buildings they set fire to was a residence that was occupied by a child, the chief was emotional and furious.

He repeatedly had to stop to compose himself, as he detailed how some thugs blocked the fire department from responding.

“They prohibited us from getting on scene. We had to force our way to make a clear path for the fire department. Officers were able to help those people out of the house. We were able to get the fire department there safely.”

Fortunately the child was safely rescued, and he added the following:

“This is unacceptable to me. It’s unacceptable to the Richmond Police Department and unacceptable to the City of Richmond.” He also said he believed this was a completely organized effort.
