WALMART & WALMART FDN DONATING $25 MILLION TO FIGHT CORONAVIRUS

Walmart and the Walmart Foundation announced in a news release Wednesday they would give $25 million to help support the fight against COVID-19.

$5 million will support global efforts to help countries prevent, detect and manage the coronavirus.$10 million to support food banks, school meal programs and organizations that provide access to food for under-served populations.

$10 million to support efforts in local communities in the United States and international markets.

Details about which specific groups will get the donations will be announced as the grants are finalized, according to the release. 

The groups will release the first batch of money this week.
