VP Pence Fires Shots on 60 Minutes, Says “ALL LIVES MATTER”

Vice-President Mike Pence was asked today by 60 Minutes correspondent John Dickerson, “What does he hear protester’s saying when they protest?”   The Vice-President’s response was “Well, it’s been a focus of ours since the tragic killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.  There is no excuse for what happened to George Floyd, but there is also no excuse for the rioting, looting, and violence that ensued.  The President engaged law enforcement leaders.  We have set down with African-American community.  I have met with Africa-American leaders and law enforcement in cities around this country.  And what I hear is well, the radical left says we need to defund the police.”

Pence continued, “What the American people want is for us to fund the police with additional training and support.  And also, improve the lives of our people in the Africa-American community, which I am proud to say, under President Trump’sleadership we are doing over the last three years, we don’t need to choose between supporting our law enforcement and African-American neighbors we can do both and that’s how we bring our country together.”

Dickerson than said, “one thing our protesters would like to hear leaders say is Black lives matter.  You won’t say that, why”?

Vice-President Pence answered, “All my life I have I have been inspired by the example of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  When I was in Congress, I traveled to his home church in Montgomery with Congressman John Lewis.  I walked across the Edmund Pettus bridge on the anniversary of ‘Bloody Sunday’.  I cherish the progress we have made for a more perfect union for African-Americans throughout our history.  I’ve aspired throughout my career to be a part of that ongoing work.  It’s really a hard issue for me.  And, as a pro-life American I also believe that All life matters, born and unborn.”

Pence continued, “But, in what I see in the leaders of the Black lives matter movement is a political agenda of the radical left that would defund the police, tear down monuments, that would press a radical left agenda that in support, cause for the kind of violence that has beset the very communities that they are advocating for.  I’ve literally met with African-American leaders around this country in the national capital area who made it clear to us they want law and order, they want peace in our streets.”
At this point, Dickerson interrupts the Vice-President and says, “so you won’t say Black lives matter?”

The Vice-President responded, “John I really believe that “ALL LIVES MATTER.”

What a great Christian man, a great Vice-President, and all lives in this great country of America should be proud of him and the tremendous job is doing for all of us.
