A United States Air Force Plane with less than five passengers on board has crashed in a Taliban controlled area of Afghanistan on Monday.
The plane was an E-11A Bombadier a military version of the Global Express Business Jet.
According to the Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid told the Associated Press that it crashed in the Ghazni province of Afghanistan.
A U.S. Bombardier E-11A crashed today in Ghazni province, Afghanistan. While the cause of crash is under investigation, there are no indications the crash was caused by enemy fire. We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
Multiple foreign media reports claiming that high ranking senior CIA officials were on board the plane. They also claim that the Taliban shot down the plane, although Air Force disputes those claims at this time.
