A Democrat doctor has been arrested in Kentucky and accused of attacking Republican Senator Rand Paul. Kentucky State Troopers responded to Paul’s home in Bowling Green, KY on the afternoon of November 3rd. Once inside the home, State Police arrested Dr. Rene Boucher, 59. Boucher is charged with one count of Fourth Degree Assault after allegedly causing minor injury to Paul.
The Investigation is being handled by the Kentucky State Police. Police records show that Boucher is being held at the Warren County Detention Center. It’s not immediately clear what sparked the assault, but an investigation has been launched by local authorities.

Senator Paul’s office stated. “Senator Paul was blindsided and the victim of an assault” Kelsey Cooper, a spokeswomen for Paul, said in a statement. “The assailant was arrested and it is now a matter for the Police. Senator Paul is Fine.”
