The Coronavirus has took the life of eleven in the U.S. as today the state of Washington reported it’s tenth victim, with California announcing it’s first fatality linked to the viral infection.
The Washington state Department of Health released updated figures Wednesday morning, showing that nine people had died in King County, the state’s most populous, and one person in Snohomish County. Washington state has now reported 39 COVID-19 cases, all in the greater Seattle area.
The California victim was an elderly with underlying health conditions and was likely exposed to the virus while aboard a cruise ship last month were an outbreak took place.
There are reports of new cases in cities of Pasadena and Long Beach in California as well as in New York. Overall, the U.S. has 138 cases of the virus per figures provided by Johns Hopkins University.
