President Donald Trump’s visit to the World Economic Forum at Davos this week was a much larger triumph than anyone could even imagined one year ago.
With the boring, phony impeachment trial beginning by the Democrats, the television coverage in Davos was much more impressive and entertaining than the trial. The trial is so boring even people paid to watch the proceedings have complained about how boring it is.
Trump brought the news of the strength of the America economy, low unemployment rate, job-creating achievements among African and Latino communities that bring a dramatic challenge to the leaders of countries with massive unemployment and underemployment.
Just like in 2018, Trump gave an important and principled speech that was worthy of the leader of the biggest economy and most powerful military in the world. Both his 2018 and 2020 Davos speeches are worth reading as he explains how the principles behind our economic strength to other leaders, so they might follow the same path to prosperity.
Trump reminded them how many of the so-called experts had predicted doom and gloom for the U.S. economy for the foreseeable future and said, “yet despite all of the cynics, I had never been more confident in America’s future. I knew we were on the verge of a profound economic resurgence, if we did things right and that would generate a historic wave of investment, wage growth and job creation.”
