Trump Leaves Rally, Immediately Flies to Dover AFB to Honor Two Fallen Soldiers Killed in Afghanistan

Just when I think that I couldn’t be more prouder of MY President, I’m reminded that I am.

After a successful rally on Monday night in New Hampshire, both President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence made their way to Dover Air Force Base to honor to fallen soldiers killed in action in Afghanistan.

The two attended the “dignified transfer ceremony” for a pair of 28-year-old soldiers killed in Afghanistan.

Sgt. 1st Class Antonio R. Rodriguez, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Sgt. 1st Class Javier J. Gutierrez, of San Antonio, died Saturday in a firefight in Nangarhar Province. Both soldiers were assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group based in Florida.

The President and Vice President Stood at attention as a flag draped transfer case came down the ramp of a C-17 and into a nearby van.

The White House said that it was the first time since 2009 that the President and Vice President had attended a transfer ceremony together.

The two joined the family members inside the aircraft prior to the ceremony for prayer.

Our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the families of these heroes.
