Texas Roadhouse CEO Gives Up Salary to Pay Front Line Workers During Covid-19 Outbreak

Day by day, we’re seeing more stories of great Americans doing the right thing in the face of adversity. We’ve started to see some of the American spirit and resolve from our Grandfathers come around, and it’s good to see.

We have a long way to go to restoring America to greatness, but these stories sure are a great start.

The CEO if Texas Roadhouse restaurants has given up his salary in order to pay front line employees of the company during the Coronavirus outbreak.

W. Kent Taylor will forgo his salary and bonus from the pay period starting March 18th through Jan 7, 2021. WOW!

In 2018, Louisville Business First reported that Taylor’s total compensation was $1.3 million with his base salary being $525,000.

Texas Roadhouse has over 460 locations in 49 of 50 states, plus the restaurant has expanded internationally, opening five locations in the Middle East.

The large steak house chain said it is also suspending its dividend as it moves to conserve cash during the coronavirus pandemic.
