A sad story coming from our friends at WOIA in San Antonio about a Houston Teen.
Flooding in Texas caused by Tropical Storm Imelda has trapped 1,000s and led to the death of a 19-year-old trying to save his horse.
According to a GoFundMe account launched for Hunter Morrison, the teen was trying to get his horse to safety when he was electrocuted and drowned.
The page launched by a family friend states Morrison was electrocuted due to a lightning strike. At just 19, Morrison reportedly did not have life insurance and the fund seeks to help cover the funeral cost for his family.
According to an Associated Press report, 1,000s have needed assistance to be rescued from flood waters in Harris County alone. This is the first major storm to strike the Houston area since Hurricane Harvey.
