President Trump Won’t Force Americans To Wear Masks (VIDEO)

President Trump isn’t bowing to intense pressure to impose an order forcing Americans to wear face masks despite increasing mandates from governors and local officials who have commanded citizens to bend the knee and don the mask.

With the media having now ignited a second wave of mass hysteria over the coronavirus, the wearing of masks has become a charged political issue cloaked in a public health crisis and is seen by many as a bludgeon to use against Trump in the upcoming election.

Despite his having worn a mask during a weekend visit to wounded service members at Walter Reed Hospital, the POTUS isn’t sporting one on a regular basis as Joe Biden does and he isn’t about to order the entire country to do so either.

In comments during an interview with Fox News anchor Chris Wallace, Trump rejected calls to engage in the humiliating ritual while defending the freedom of those who wish to make their own choices.

Via The Hill, “Trump says he won’t issue national mask mandate”:

President Trump says he will not issue a national mandate requiring Americans to wear masks in order to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.

“I want people to have a certain freedom and I don’t believe in that, no,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News’s Chris Wallace that will air in full on “Fox News Sunday.”

Trump also seemed to express skepticism about the efficacy of masks, noting that public health officials initially said that facial coverings were not necessary for healthy individuals, before later adding that he is a “believer in masks.”

“I don’t agree with the statement that if everyone wore a mask, everything disappears,” Trump said, referring to Wallace’s mention of the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) saying that the country could get the virus under control in four to six weeks if everyone wore a mask.

“Dr. [Anthony] Fauci said don’t wear a mask, our surgeon general — terrific guy — said don’t wear a mask. Everybody was saying don’t wear a mask, all of a sudden everybody’s got to wear a mask,” Trump continued. “And as you know, masks cause problems too. With that being said, I am a believer in masks. I think masks are good.”

“The CDC says if everybody wore a mask for four to six weeks we could get this under control…” That sounds an awful lot like “15 days to flatten the curve”. Well here we are, 4 months into lockdowns/restrictions, THE CURVE WAS FLATTENED LONG AGO…yet now we have to wear masks because of the rising number of cases, symptomatic or not. The numbers are fudged for both cases and deaths…and they even admitted that! Yet we are supposed to blindly follow orders while fearing something less deadly than the seasonal flu. Bullshit.
