Just when you think the news cycle is slowing down, here comes Mayor Pete to the rescue America.
The openly gay mayor of South Bend, Indiana is now preaching to President Trump and Evangelicals about hypocrisy. Yes, you read that right.
Let me explain something really quick, I’m not knocking, nor am I judging Mayor Pete for being gay. I have many gay friends, and that’s their lifestyle. I don’t have to agree with it, but I love them. As the good book says, hate the sin, love the sinner.
So for someone openly living in sin according to the bible, why would you be so judgmental of others if you don’t want the same thing done in return?
Here’s what Mayor Pete said about President Trump and Evangelicals on Meet the Press with Chuck Todd this morning.
None of us are prefect, and I have always stood by my own words. I don’t need Christ because I’m the perfect Christian or person. I need Christ because I know I am imperfect in every way in a flawed world.
Let’s rehash for a second. Mayor Pete is also for late term abortions, which the majority of Americans oppose. So you’re gay, for late term abortions, and now you’re judging the President and Vice President on if they believe in God or not?
I think Mayor Pete may have some soul searching to do.
I hope that one day Mayor Pete starts actually understanding the rhetoric he is spewing. Let’s let God be the judge, and stop the hypocrisy, shall we?
