Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sounds like she wants former Vice President and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden to stay in his basement considering she is once again calling for the cancelation of the 2020 presidential debates.
During an interview with CBS on Friday, Pelosi argued that President Trump “has no fidelity to fact or truth” and “isn’t committed to our Constitution,” saying “why bother” having a debate with him.
Host of the show Gayle King asked, “You had earlier suggested that you didn’t think Biden should debate. Do you still feel that way?”
“I do,” Pelosi responded. “Not that I don’t think he’ll be excellent. I just think that the president has no fidelity to fact or truth, and actually, in his comments the last few days, no fidelity to the Constitution of the United States. He and his henchmen are a danger with their comments, are a danger to our democracy. So, I didn’t want to give him — you know, why bother — you know, he doesn’t tell the truth, he isn’t committed to our Constitution.”
King shot back against Pelosi for calling Trump supporters “henchmen,” saying that it is “just as insulting” as what the President calls her.
“Your language to some is just as egregious as what they’re saying by calling the president’s people henchmen. Some could say that’s just as insulting as what he’s saying about you,” King said.
Pelosi responded, “Well, I don’t care what he says about me. Every knock from him is a boost for me. If he wants to help me raise money, he can keep knocking me. But I’m speaking truth. Our Constitution is at the mercy of people who have no allegiance to the Constitution of the United States.”
Pelosi has been off her rocker in recent weeks as she continues to make wild and bizarre comments.
On Thursday during a press conference, Pelosi claimed that President Trump is “trying to have the constitution of the United States swallow Clorox.”
The comments from the Speaker came in response to a question from Playboy White House correspondent Brian Karem, who asked if the President would have a peaceful transfer of power “win, lose, or draw.”
Pelosi replied, “I mean, if he says the people swallow Clorox, and we hear about it for the rest of our lives, but he’s trying to have the Constitution of the United States swallow Clorox, and I appreciate these questions that all of you have this morning, and I guess provoked by the arrogance and the disregard for the Constitution with the President’s statement last night.”
WATCH:
Pelosi’s claim that President Trump told people to “swallow Clorox” is completely false.
Check out what Breitbart reported:
[A]s the transcripts of White House press briefings confirm, Trump was discussing the future use of experimental ultraviolet light technology to disinfect surfaces and remove the coronavirus. The UV technology is already being used to disinfect offices and other spaces. Trump wondered openly whether it might be possible to “inject” UV light into the body — a technology that is currently in development, and which was reported in the media just days before.
When he was asked a follow-up question about whether he thought disinfectant should be “injected into a person,” Trump said no: “It wouldn’t be through injection. We’re talking about through almost a cleaning, sterilization of an area.”
