This show is an absolute dumpster fire that’s absolutely always out of control with RINO’s and Liberals.
Once again, “The View” is making headlines thanks to the inanity and political stupidity of one of the show’s biggest lib stars: Joy Behar.
The politically tone-deaf Behar took the show off the rails – again – to the point where her Left-wing co-host, Whoopie Goldberg, had to threaten to take it to break for a second time.
Behar began a feud with the show’s nominal Republican, Meghan McCain, after she attacked Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, who spent Sunday making the rounds on various news programs to push for schools to reopen in a few months for the 2020 year.
Behar jump-started the segment by claiming that reopening the schools could pose serious health risks for teachers.
“Do you know what really is making — amusing me today, is this idea that the Republican Party cares about education,” Behar said. “They have been spending the last few decades defunding education, and they think that we’re going to believe this baloney that they’re throwing at us now that they care about our children? Give me a break.”
That set McCain off (as it should have).
Watch the full exchange below:
“Well, I don’t think it’s fair to say Republicans don’t care about children,” she immediately pushed back. “I mean, that’s very aggressive and incendiary.”
Behar doubled down, claiming — without a shred of evidence — that Republicans just don’t care about educating kids.
“To sit here and say that Republicans don’t care about education or children is just ridiculous,” McCain shoved back.
“Well then, why do they keep defunding it?” Behar asked, claiming that because she used to be a teacher, she knows of what she speaks.
“I was not a teacher. I think what’s exhausting is coming on the show every day and being told that Republicans don’t care about anything. We just want people to die. We want children not to be educated and nothing matters,” she said, adding that there is plenty of blame to go around.
At that point, Goldberg cut to a break, but when the show returned, Behar just couldn’t let it go.
“I want to make one thing clear. When I speak about Republicans, Meghan, I’m talking about the leadership in Congress,” Behar explained. “I’m not talking about the run of the mill Republican voter. So do not say that to me again, okay?”
McCain said that no matter what Behar said she meant (and we know she wasn’t just talking about elected Republicans), she took an accusatory tone.
“‘Republicans don’t care about X. Republicans don’t care about why Y.’ I’m Republican. I vote for these people, so the implication is that I don’t care about them,” McCain said. “All I want is for us at this show to lead by example and not be part of the problem and come in being accusatory.”
“You have idiots —” Behar blared. “You have idiots like that governor in Florida…”
“When you attack Republicans in power, you are attacking their voters, and it’s going to help him get re-elected Joy,” McCain shot back.
At that, Goldberg jumped in and made it clear she’s had enough.
“I swear to God if you don’t stop, I’m going to take us to break again,” she threatened.
