House Democrats impeachment case and evidence — or lack thereof — is apparently so weak that apparently Republicans are already preparing to end the charade.
Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham says he is “increasingly optimistic” that the impeachment of President Donald Trump will end on Friday.
Graham claims that the Democrats “want to impeach the president before the election not to remove him from office…but try to hurt him politically.”
Graham’s comments come as reports suggest that four Democratic senators are leaning towards voting to acquit Trump.
“Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona and Doug Jones of Alabama are undecided on whether to vote to remove the president from office and agonizing over where to land,” The Daily Wire reported. “It’s a decision that could have major ramifications for each senator’s legacy and political prospects — as well shape the broader political dynamic surrounding impeachment heading into the 2020 election.”
