John Daly has always been a character, and he’s one of the funnest sports celebrities in America to hang out with.
I’ve had the pleasure of attending several of John’s events over the years, and one of the fondest memories was a charity event he hosted where he had Hootie and the Blowfish headline the event. I still have a signed golf viser with his bar-b-que’d thumb print on it.
Daly is an Arkanas Razorback, true and proud. His take isn’t the first time I’ve heard this in the last few weeks, but he does have a big enough voice to garner some listeners.
John is now saying what our grandfathers and many other wise men have said. Drinking kills bad things in your body. Here’s his take after appearing on the Trump Team Channel on YouTube.
“I only drink one drink a day, it just happens to be a bottle of good old Belvedere,” Daly said as he showed listeners the clear bottle of vodka in the camera shot. “Just drink one of these a day. You know, sippy, sippy on a McDonald’s diet Coke ya know, wash it down pretty good. Never have a hangover.
“And that’s the way you kill this coronavirus I believe. But ya’ll be safe, take care and hopefully we’ll be getting back to the things we do best pretty soon.”
