GENERAL JACK KEANE TO BE AWARDED MEDAL OF FREEDOM

Retired four-star Army general Jack Keane will be awarded the MEDAL OF FREEDOM by President Trump next week, White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said in a statement today.

The award represents the U.S.’s highest civilian honor.  General Keane has devoted his life to keeping America safe and strong, and has earned many awards, including two Defense Distinguished Service Medals, five Legions of Merit, two Army Distinguished Service Medals, the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, and the Ronald Reagan Peace though Strength Award, noted Grisham.

Keane retired from the military in 2003 and is a frequent presence on Fox News, where he is a senior strategic analyst, and often defends President Trump’s foreign policy decisions.  He also has been known to advise President Trump on military decisions with respect to Syria.

He is also the chairman of the Institute for the Study of War, a national security policy think tank.

Congratulations to General Keane on his deserved award and we appreciate your service to our great country.
