On Thursday, former US Attorney Guy Lewis said that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s threat to Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh could “very well be criminal” while speaking on Fox News.
“I’ve got to tell you, and Schumer is kind of backtracking, we’ve heard today, I think it’s a day late and a dollar short,” Lewis said. “Listen, as a young prosecutor down here in Miami, I actually prosecuted, put somebody in jail for about three years, if I recall correctly, under a similar circumstance where they had threatened a federal judge that had a case pending before her.”
“Listen, I don’t think this is bad judgment,” Lewis added. “This may very well be criminal..”

Lewis’ comments come after Schumer threatened the two conservative Supreme Court judges at an abortion rally.
“Inside the walls of this court, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments, as you know, for the first major abortion rights cases since Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Gorsuch came to the bench,” Schumer said. “We know what’s at stake. Over the last three years, women’s reproductive rights have come under attack in a way we haven’t seen in modern history.”
Schumer has yet to apologize, and continues to double down that he didn’t mean what he said, and that people are overreacting.
