Former President Obama attacks President Trump at speech in Chicago

Former President Barack Obama on the campaign trail for Democrats for the first time in 2018 heading into the November midterms spoke out and attacked President Trump today. Obama stated “It did not start with Donald Trump. He is a symptom not the cause.” He then continued “He’s just capitalizing on resentments that politicians have been fanning for years.”

Brave words from the former President who had a 1.6% GPD compared to President Trump’s 4.2% GPD currently. Obama before Trump was elected scoffed at the GDP numbers that Trump predicted. “What’s he going to do, wave a magic wand” Obama mocked President Trump before the 2016 elections.

“What happened to the Republican Party? Its central organizing principle was the fight against communism, and now they’re cozying up to the former head of the KGB,” he said, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

However Obama stood up for Trump in regards to the New York Times op-ed saying that a resistance within the administration and trying to undermine a sitting President wasn’t good for the country.
