Joe Biden, the former vice president and Democratic presidential nominee, said during a campaign rally stop Sunday in Philadelphia, “I know Philadelphia well. I married a Philly girl, by the way.”
I couldn’t verify the fact either of his one of his two wives were from Philadelphia. His first wife, who was killed in a car accident in 1972, Neilia Hunter Biden was born in Skaneateles, N.Y., and current wife Jill Tracy Jacobs Biden was born in Hammonton, N.J.
Joe Biden also said, “And by the way, I’ve got my Eagles jacket on.” The logo on Biden’s jacket, though, was not that of the city’s National Football League team, which won the Super Bowl in 2018. He was wearing a different bird logo, that of the University of Delaware’s Blue Hens.
His campaign rally stop in Philadelphia was two day before Election Day. Not unlike most of his rallies with very few people and a lot more embarrassing blunders. He is trying to create a connection to the crowd and gain voter support by fabricating, lying or making up stories.
Joe Biden did graduate from the University of Delaware in 1965 with a double major in history and political science. In his memoir Promises to Keep, Biden recalls briefly playing on the university’s freshman football team.
President Trump’s campaign jumped to point out the former vice president’s mistake on social media. This “Eagles” jacket Biden claims he’s wearing to try and show how much he’s in touch. It’s a Delaware Blue Hens jacket.
Just another lie told by the Biden campaign, that’s all these guys do good is lie.
