Did the former First Lady of the United States get Roseanne fired from her own show on ABC?
According to a Fox News report, Roseanne Barr believes that former first lady Michelle Obama is responsible for getting her fired from her own show on ABC.
The show which was brought back in 2018, was cancelled after Roseanne made a joke about former Obama lackey Valerie Jarrett.
Barr said that Jarrett looked like someone from “Planet of the Apes” and the Islamic brotherhood had a baby. Roseanne like most Americans thought that Jarrett was Iranian, because she’s from Iran, you know common sense stuff.
Roseanne cites she was told “Obama said, ‘This tweet is unforgivabele.’ That’s what I was told and I tend to believe it, because the woman who fired me is now working with the Obama’s at Netflix.” Barr told the UK based The Sun on Sunday.
Channing Dungey, the former ABC Entertainment President responsible for canceling “Roseanne” and firing Barr left the company shortly after Roseanne’s departure from ABC. Dungey was hired by Netflix in late 2018 to work on the original programming, including content for The Obama’s Higher Ground Productions.
In May of 2018 Roseanne retweeted this tweet.
Per Fox News in June 2018, Barr said in a statement that she accepted a settlement and to be removed to make way for “The Conners,” telling press, “I regret the circumstances that have caused me to be removed from ‘Roseanne.’ I agreed to the settlement in order that 200 jobs of beloved cast and crew could be saved, and I wish the best for everyone involved.”
“They think because they killed me it’s OK to use me, use the memory of me,” she fumed to The Times. “Still mention me. It’s still my show, but they stole it. They are going to do it to other comics. I’m just the first.”
Considering how close the Obama’s were to Valerie Jarrett you know the old saying America. Where there is smoke, there is fire.
