This was an unbelievable take from Mavericks owner Mark Cuban on Monday morning, where he’s encouraging players to kneel for the flag that our Grandfathers and founders fought for, it was really quite sad.
Mark Davis is the host of The Answer Talk show on local radio in Dallas, Texas and he made a simple tweet about the Dallas Mavericks. Here it is.
I am so ready to be be in on this year’s #Mavericks home stretch: so much promise, so much personality. But the minute one player kneels during the anthem, I am OUT. Surely @mcuban can lead the way for #Mavs, #NBA to do whatever gesture they wish without insulting the nation. -Mark Davis
Cubans answer to Mark Davis, was “Bye” literally telling Texans and Mavericks fans to piss off if they don’t like the players taking a knee during the National Anthem.
Cuban also gave this answer…
“The National Anthem Police in this country are out of control. If you want to complain, complain to your boss and ask why they don’t play the National Anthem every day before you start work.” -Mark Cuban
Davis responded in kind,
Bizarre answer. And “national anthem police” Really? The pregame anthem has been a tradition for years, embraced by millions, now under fire by activists. I’m open to a pregame kneeling moment that does not insult America. To be met with this hostility does not bode well.Quote Tweet -Mark Davis
So what are your thoughts on Mark Cuban basically telling fans if they’re not okay with players taking a knee, that he doesn’t need you?
