Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved to Intensive care following his hospitalization for coronavirus on Sunday, his office said on Monday.
Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of Johnson worsened and on the advice of his medical team, he was moved to the Intensive Care Unit a spokesperson said.
The Prime Minister is receiving excellent care and he thanks all the National Health Service staff for their hard word and dedication.
Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has been deputized to assume his duties in the meantime.
