Police: At least 2 shooters sought in Texas, US mail van hijacked as multiple victims hit by gunfire

UPDATE: Midland tells CBS7 that authorities have taken a suspect into custody at the Cinergy of Midland. No other details have been released.

Midland Police: “It has been confirmed that the active shooter was shot and killed at the Cinergy in Odessa. There is no active shooter at this time. All agencies are investigating reports of possible suspects

Authorities are responding to at least one shooting in Texas in which there are multiple victims.

Citing the Texas Department of Public Safety, KOSA-TV reported that the public is urged to avoid Interstate 20 in Odessa, Midland and Big Spring as authorities search for a person who shot several people, including an officer.

Midland police said the department believes there are two shooters in separate vehicles. One of the suspects is driving a U.S. Postal Service van.

Odessa police said one of individuals hijacked the mail vehicle.
