BREAKING: Justice Department Gives Major Update on Durham Probe

Americans pining for justice to be administered to the Deep State traitors who plotted against President Donald Trump and his administration find we are one step closer to that finally happening.

In an interview with Fox News, Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said that while a report from U.S. Attorney John Durham, assigned by Attorney General Bill Barr to look into the origins of the ‘Russian collusion’ probe, is not “the goal” of the criminal investigation, it will still “be really pivotal to the restoration of that one-tiered system of justice.”

The Washington Examiner has more:

The politically charged review, which shifted into a criminal investigation last fall, has been decried by Democrats as a scheme to damage President Trump’s rivals ahead of the 2020 election and hailed by Republicans who claim the Russia investigation was a partisan hit job.

…Barr said last month he anticipates “developments” in Durham’s investigation “hopefully before the end of the summer.” Kupec reinforced the notion that this was only a guess.

“There is a story to be told there. The American people deserve resolution, and frankly, justice deserves resolution,” said Kupac.

Asked to comment about Barr’s ‘before the end of summer’ prediction, Kupac noted it was only a guess.

“There are no guarantees in life, but we certainly hope to see one by the end of the summer. I think it’s important,” she said.

Fox News’ Bill Hemmer noted that conservatives are concerned that if presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden manages to beat President Trump, Durham’s investigation will be stopped, his findings never released, and charges never filed against anyone, effectively proving that there are two systems of justice.

Asked to comment on those concerns, Kupac said: “I will just tell you this. We are hopeful, and we expect to see a report by the end of the summer.”

Granted, a report isn’t the same as actually charging people with crimes (and we know that crimes were committed — the lies to the FISA court alone should earn some people jail time).

But again, the important point to remember is that Barr has said the primary objective of Durham’s criminal investigation is not to ‘produce a report.’ And Kupac just confirmed that.

So, if Durham will nonetheless have a report ready by summer’s end, that must mean he’ll have the investigation wrapped as well and charges filed.

Others are concerned about the timeline as well. Earlier this month, Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) speculated that there might not be any charges filed against anyone until after the election.
