Biden’s Sweeps Sanders, Lead Widens with Wins in Florida, Illinois, and Arizona

Joe Biden had yet another big Tuesday night all but putting an end to a Bernie Sanders presidency.

As polls closed in Florida, Biden had already been pronounced the winner.

Biden won in Florida with a staggering margin of 61.1% and had 965,239 votes in the primary.

Biden also easily won both Illinois and Arizona primaries, giving him an almost insurmountable lead.

In Ohio, polls were ordered closed as a public health measure after a judge declined the governor’s request to postpone the election. But contests in the other three states proceeded as scheduled Tuesday despite widespread fears over the rapidly spreading coronavirus pandemic.
