Biden Narrows VP List Down to These 6 Women — But Look Who’s NOT on the List

Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s campaign has been narrowing down the list of possible candidates to serve as his running mate.

According to Delaware Online, the former vice president is down to 6 names.

All of the candidates are women and four of them are African-American.

1. Florida Democratic Rep. Val Demings

2. Massachusetts Democratic Senator Liz Warren

3. Former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice

4. Atlanta Democratic Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms

5. California Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris

6. New Mexico Democratic Governor Michelle Grisham

Noticeably missing from this particular list: Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and failed Georgia candidate Stacy Abrams.

After vowing to nominate a black woman to the Supreme Court, Biden said during a Democratic debate earlier this year: “Secondly, if I’m elected president, my Cabinet, my administration will look like the country, and I commit that I will, in fact, appoint a woman to be vice president. There are a number of women qualified to be president tomorrow. I would pick a woman to be my vice president.”
