Bart Starr, the gentlemanly quarterback and catalyst of Vince Lombardi’s powerhouse Green Bay Packers teams of the 1960’s whose sneak won the famed “Ice Bowl”
Starr’s accolades in the sport of Pro Football are astounding and legendary to say the least.

Starr who played for the Packers from 1956-71 and served as Head Coach from 1975-83, passed away Sunday morning in Birmingham, Ala. Starr was 85, and had suffered a serious stroke in 2014.
As a Packers fan, this one is tough to take. I remember my father telling me stories about Starr growing up. I still have several of his old playing cards in my collection. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the his family, and the Packers nation.
