Ask For Help!!!

Today I got a phone call from a military Brother saying we had lost one of our own. Now I’ve been out of the Military now for about 6 years, and even the ones I don’t know are still my brothers. So it was even harder to take what happened when he explained how he passed. Now for personal reasons I won’t be giving out the soldiers name, but we will just call him “MIKE” So come to find out, Mike was having some issues at the house, personal issues with the wife and kids, not to mention his job. From talking with my friend this wouldn’t have ever been known because Mike didn’t talk about things like this to anyone. Ladies and Gents thats the wrong answer.

Now listen I know we all go through our own problems so in our minds we need to keep it to ourselves because no one wants to listen to our problems, what could they possibly know about what I’m going through right? They will just tell everyone else about it? They will make fun of me and telling me I’m stupid? America if you can’t talk to your true friends about your problems then listen to me, “THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS” Everyone that follows America First Media knows Matt Couch and I have been friends going on about 20 years now. We’ve been through a lot with each other, and I would venture to say there is probably not much he doesn’t know about me and vise versa on me with him. But one thing I can tell you is him and I both know that no matter how hard life gets, we always have each others backs. And he’s been there for me in some very tough times, and me the same with him. And after those tough times more times than not we can even joke about them to a point.

But I tell you all that to tell you this, DON’T EVER BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP. Let me say that again, DON’T EVER BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP. Because no problem that you have going on right now, is worth taking your life for. And doing so is not only wrong but its selfish. Now right now some of you might be saying how is it selfish Josh? Well I’m glad you asked, because it’s selfish to your family, who believe it or not cares about you, It’s selfish more importantly to God, who brought your into this world. But in Mikes case, it was selfish because of his son. Who now will never know why he doesn’t have a dad.

America I can tell you myself as well as Matt have been hit hard in life, And to quote Rocky, Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!

America your better than that. Stop pointing fingers, blaming everyone else and get up brush yourself off and get back on your feet and don’t let life stop you. If you need help ASK FOR IT!!! If you need to talk and let off some steam, find someone and ask them if you can just vent for 10 minutes, I promise you it helps. Just remember when the times comes return the favor and let your friends vent too.

America no problem in this world is bigger than God, and I can promise you this, if you talk to him, he does listen, and he does help you. You just have to let him. And when I say let him, I mean give it all to him and have faith in him to help you through anything. Because I can again tell you that if you do that, he can and he does help you.

I’m so sorry about your friend! I know how it feels to lose someone to suicide. It’s something you never get over because so many questions left unanswered. Thanks for sharing. Problem is when someone is in that state of mind, we miss the signs until you look back & say, wow, I should have been more intuitive. It’s sad beyond words. It’s selfish, I agree because that person leaves without thinking the lifetime affect it has on those left behund that love them so much, The void, the guilt, the pain never really goes away. YOUR 💔 never quite… Read more »

Thank you Josh. You are SO VERY right. At times we can feel so very alone but if we will step back, take a deep breath, we realize there are people who LOVE us that we can turn to. I deal with it daily having my Army Veteran son who suffers with severe PTSD living with me. I have “drilled” into him that there is NO crisis big or small that I won’t help him walk through. At this very moment we are coming through a very dark 10 days & he finds himself back at zero & pulling himself… Read more »
