Extremely sad news coming out of Mississippi on Saturday morning.
A deadly house fire is under investigation in Clinton, Mississippi.
The mother, 33-years-old, and six children between the ages of 1 to 15-years-old died in the fire.
The father is currently hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
The victims bodies have been sent to the state crime lab.
The fire happened early Saturday morning around 12:30 a.m. on Old Vicksburg Road, according to the Clinton Police Department.
It took about 45 minutes to get the fire under control. The Clinton Fire Department had four engines, a ladder truck, and administrators respond to the fire.
The Clinton Fire Department and state fire marshal are investigating the fire.
