Shocking court documents have brought to light startling accusations against pop icon Cher. The documents, filed on December 5, 2022, are part of the ongoing divorce proceedings between Cher’s son, Elijah Blue Allman, and his estranged wife, Marie King. King, a musician known professionally as Queenie, alleges that Cher orchestrated the kidnapping of her own son.
According to King’s claims in the court documents, Cher hired four individuals to forcibly remove Elijah Blue Allman from a New York hotel room on November 30, 2022, which also happened to be the couple’s wedding anniversary. King asserted that the kidnapping was an attempt to thwart their efforts to “reconcile” their marriage, and she expressed concerns for her son’s safety.
The court documents further reveal that during the incident, one of the individuals involved in taking Allman allegedly disclosed Cher’s involvement in the plot. King stated in the documents, “I am currently unaware of my husband’s wellbeing or whereabouts. I am very concerned and worried about him.” She also emphasized her desire for his well-being, acknowledging his family’s concerns.

Additionally, King detailed an incident from August 2022 when Cher’s mother-in-law allegedly requested that she leave her home with Allman, without being informed of his medical care location.
As of now, Cher’s representatives have not responded to a request for comment regarding these allegations.
Elijah Blue Allman, Cher’s second and youngest son, was born on July 10, 1976, during her marriage to the late Greg Allman of The Allman Brothers Band. Despite a history of estrangement and complications in their relationship, Cher and her son had reconnected prior to Greg Allman’s passing in 2017. Over the years, both Cher and Allman have openly discussed their complex mother-son dynamic and periods of estrangement. Allman once remarked that their relationship would mend over time, as Cher had always “tried.”
While these allegations have emerged, Cher is gearing up to release her Christmas album later this year.
