Two more women have come forward and accused former Vice President Joe Biden of inappropriate touching.
According to The New York Times, the two women — Caitlyn Caruso and D. J. Hill — both recalled to the Times their experiences with Biden touching them inappropriately and making them feel uncomfortable.
Caruso said Biden rested his hand on her thigh even as she tried to squirm in her seat to signal that she was uncomfortable.
This allegedly took place about three years ago while at an event on sexual assault at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
Caruso, who said she was 19-years-old at the time, said Biden also hugged her “just a little bit too long.”
Caruso told the Times that the entire encounter with the former vice president was deeply uncomfortable because she had just spoken about her own sexual assault and assumed Biden would respect her space.
“It doesn’t even really cross your mind that such a person would dare perpetuate harm like that. These are supposed to be people you can trust,” Caruso said.
Hill, the second women who spoke to the Times, recalled an incident with Biden in 2012.
Hill claims the then-vice president placed his hand on her shoulder and began to run it down her back, which she said made her “very uncomfortable.”
“Only he knows his intent,” she added.
Hill’s and Caruso’s statements follow allegations brought by two other women in the last week — former Nevada state lawmaker Lucy Flores and Amy Lappos, a former congressional aide to Connecticut Democratic Rep. Jim Himes.
