A shocking story coming from CBS Chicago this week that dozens of nurses may have been fired for reviewing Jussie Smollet’s medical records from his hoax incident.
Smollett was charged with a felony for falsifying a police report and staging a hate crime against himself last month.
Sources told CBS Chicago that workers have been terminated after gaining access to the “Empire” actor’s medical chart.
One nurse says that it was a mistake and that she was fired last week and believes many other nurses and staffers were fired for the same reason. The nurse claims she was called in at the end of her shift last Tuesday and fired on the spot, then escorted out of the hospital.
The hospital of course has said that they cannot comment on staffing matters.
