Two members of Trump’s cabinet were apparently on board to try to remove the President from office.
This news breaks this evening after a shocking Fox News report says former FBI attorney James Baker testified that key members of the Justice Department were working to form allies to remove President Trump from office.
“Baker, in closed-door testimony to Congress, detailed alleged discussions among senior officials at the Justice Department about invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office, claiming he was told Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said two Trump Cabinet officials were ‘ready to support’ such an effort,” Fox News stated.
So who were these two members of the cabinet? Do the American people have the right to know? Does President Trump know?
“I was being told by some combination of Andy McCabe and Lisa Page, that … this was what was related to me — that (Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein) had at least two members of the president’s Cabinet who were ready to support, I guess you would call it, an action under the 25th Amendment,” Baker told members of Congress.
“Baker did not identify the two Cabinet officials,” Fox reported.
“Rosenstein was actually openly talking about whether there was a majority of the cabinet who would vote to remove the president,” CBS journalist Scott Pelley confirmed during an interview with McCabe.
“That’s correct. Counting votes or possible votes,” McCabe replied.
