William Barr, the former Attorney General under President George H. W. Bush has been confirmed as the new U.S. Attorney General by the United States Senate this afternoon.
The Senate confirmed Barr by a vote of 54-45 Thursday afternoon. Three Democratic Senators broke party lines to vote for Barr. Matt Couch noted it in his tweet below.
Senator Lindsey Graham was fired up on Twitter, and added this comment about Barr’s confirmation.
Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had this to say,
“The next Attorney General must be a public servant in the truest sense, with the integrity, the force of will, and the independence to navigate the Justice Department – and maybe our democracy – through treacherous waters. Mr. Barr’s attitude: leave it to me. That is not good enough,” Schumer said.
Schumer and Pelosi have one agenda, and that’s to beat Trump. They do not care about the betterment or welfare of the American people.
