Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (D) is seen in another photo wearing the same pants as the person wearing the blackface costume on his yearbook page.

James Woods tweeted the discovery early Sunday, February 3rd. The two side by side images show the same plaid pants in both photos. The tweet read ” Hey, #Coonman, nice pants. So now you’re sure that’s not you in blackface…?” Coonman happened to be the nickname also present on Northam’s yearbook page.

Northam had originally issued an apology on Friday for appearing in the image. In the apology, he stated that it was him in the yearbook however he has changed and developed as a person.

On Saturday, in one of the weirdest press conferences by a politician ever, he walked his admission back and described how he participated in a Michael Jackson moonwalk competition where he did in fact wear blackface.

The new revelation may provide more pressure on Northam to resign. Individuals on both sides of the political aisle have been calling on him to resign since the yearbook page went public.

Northam’s week started by stating on a radio show that he thought live-birth abortion would be something he could support. The Governor stated “the infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired.”

Since he stated that, he received criticism from Republicans for his inhumane stance. With the controversial stance, and the racist photos present on his yearbook, it will be interesting to see how long he can continue without resigning. He will surely be under the microscope.
