James Clapper, President Obama’s Defense Intelligence Agency director, wrote a hand-scribed letter on Wednesday, begging a federal judge to give leniency when considering the sentence of James Wolfe, a former Senate Intelligence committee staffer, who was indicted for disclosing classified information and making false statements to federal investigators.
