In a world where we wonder what’s coming at us next on a day to day basis, nothing can be more important than protecting our children. A mother of three in South Carolina shot a home invader.
The man was banging and profusely trying to get into her home. She called 9-1-1 and grabbed her gun. She even yelled I have a gun and I will shoot you, but that didn’t stop the home invader. He kicked her door in, at which point Ashley Jones, a mom of three opened fire.
“I yelled, ‘I have a gun, I will shoot you, get away from my house,’” Jones said.
“So then he kicks the door in as soon as he kicks the door in and tries to take a step in my house that’s when I shot him and he ran off, she recalled. “Something just came over me, I got calm and my heart slowed down.”
“Because if I didn’t have any kind of weapons I don’t know what I would have did. That guy was kind of big,” she said.
“I wouldn’t have been able to fight him off. I never thought I would have to shoot that gun, ever,” she continued.
Because of her 2nd Amendment rights, Ashley Jones and her children are unharmed and alive today. “Any mother is going to protect her kid any way she can. And that’s what I did,” Jones told WSPA.
