A Federal Judge in New York has thrown out the lawsuit filed by the parents of Seth Rich against Fox News and others.
Seth Rich was murdered at 4:19 AM Sunday Morning July 10th at the Flagler intersection in Washington, D.C. just 300 steps from his front door. To date, Police have never provided body cams, the video from the Flagler Market, ballistics reports, autopsy report, or anything regarding the investigation. Even though they claim to have exhausted all leads on multiple occasions.
“It is understandable that Plaintiffs might feel that their grief and personal loss were taken advantage of, and that the tragic death of their son was exploited for political purposes,” U.S. District Court Judge George B. Daniels wrote in his ruling Thursday.
Daniels added the couple failed to assert that the network’s actions amounted to the “extreme and outrageous conduct” standard required to establish “intentional infliction of emotional distress” given that defamation can only be argued on behalf of living people and their son was no longer alive.
