Jared and Elee Beck have filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of a driver against Uber over the company policy pertaining to drivers carrying firearms while on the job.

Jose Mejia, an Uber driver in the greater Miami-Dade Florida area, has decided to use the Beck’s, the same attorneys who are filing a class action suit against the DNC for voter fraud, to defend his and other’s rights to carry in their own vehicle.

The case cites a 2008 law enacted by Florida that protects an individual’s right to carry in a motor vehicle, and is seeking Uber to overturn its policy. The filing also notes that the policy was changed in June 2015, which was after a Chicago Uber driver, John Hendricks, shot and wounded an active shooter and most likely saved lives in the process.

Before the change in policy, Uber stated that “all its drivers to abide by local, state, and federal laws pertaining to transporting firearms in vehicles.”
