Yes my friends, you just can’t make this up. It looks as though a deal has been reached in the Senate on the $2 Trillion coronavirus stimulus package.
In one of the most absurd things we’ve ever seen, Congress gave itself a raise. Yes, you heard me right. $25,000,000 for “Salaries and Expenses.”
“For an additional amount of “Salaries and Expenses”, $25,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2021, except that $5,000,000 shall remain available until expended, for necessary expenses of the House of Representatives to present, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus, to be allocated in accordance with a spend plan submitted to the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives.”
If that alone doesn’t anger you, here’s what else is in the bill. $300 Million for museums. Another $300 Million for International Disaster Relief, neither have ANYTHING to do with helping Americans.
But let’s get to the meat on the bone of this deal, shall we?
130 Billion for Hospitals
$150 Billion for State and Local Governemnts
$350 Billion for Small Businesses
4 Months of Unemployment Insurance
$1200 for Adults and $500/Child, yes that’s it!
I don’t know about many of you, but I can’t even pay my monthly bills on $1200 per month. This is ridiculous, and as usual they’ve all worked together to give themselves raises, protect special interests, it’s disturbing and sickening.
The only good thing in this bill is the $350 Billion to help small businesses, but lets see what that looks like at vote time, shall we?
