Apparently Donald Trump has had enough of the W.H.O.’s catering to communist China.

U.S. President Donald Trump, appearing in the White House Rose Garden, went ahead with repeated threats, and on Friday said he is terminating the U.S. relationship with the World Health Organization (WHO) over its handling of the coronavirus, saying the WHO had essentially become a puppet organization of China.

The president for weeks has expressed frustration with China, blaming the communist country and in part the WHO for the spread of the deadly virus that has left more than 100,000 dead in the U.S.

Trump said the WHO had failed to make reforms to the organization that the president had demanded earlier this month. He said Chinese officials “ignored their reporting obligations” about the virus to the WHO and pressured the WHO to “mislead the world” when the virus was first discovered by Chinese authorities.

Trump also said, “the U.S. would be redirecting the approximately $450 million to other worldwide and deserving urgent global public health needs.”
