According to Parrot Analytics, a content demand analytics company, Michael Jordan and the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls are now the fastest growing television series in the U.S.
The data results showed a 1,227% increase in demand for “The Last Dance,” which chronicles Jordan’s final season in Chicago and the last of the dynasty’s six titles.
“The Last Dance” surpassed “Tiger King,” the Netflix documentary that delved into the wild world of large cat conservationists and zoo owners. (“The Last Dance” also airs on Netflix internationally.)
According to Nielsen, more than 34 million people watched “Tiger King” during the first 10 days it was available. Last week’s two-hour airing of “The Last Dance” received nearly 12 million viewers between ESPN and ESPN2, per Nielsen.
